CatalogVision AI ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and handle your data when you install and use our Shopify application ("the App").
2. What Data We Access & Collect
CatalogVision AI operates strictly as a product catalog enrichment tool. We do NOT collect, access, or store personal customer data, payment information, or order histories.
- Product Catalog Data: Product IDs, titles, descriptions, vendor names, and public product image URLs necessary to perform multimodal attribute extraction.
- Metafield Data: Product Category Metafield keys, namespaces, and compareDigests strictly required to execute compare-and-set publishing and 1-click compensating rollback.
- Shop Information: Your store domain (e.g.,
your-store.myshopify.com) and active subscription plan tier to manage credit allowances.
3. How We Use Your Data
Data accessed by CatalogVision AI is used solely to:
- Extract visual apparel traits (Color, Pattern, Neckline, Sleeve Length) via Google GenAI multimodal inference.
- Map attributes to official Shopify Standard Product Taxonomy definitions.
- Write Category Metafields directly to your store via Shopify Admin GraphQL mutations with concurrency safety.
- Maintain a local Change Journal so you can inspect write history and execute 1-click rollbacks anytime.
4. Security & Data Storage
All communications between your Shopify store, our application servers, and Google GenAI APIs are encrypted in transit using industry-standard TLS 1.3. We do not sell, rent, or share your catalog data with third parties. Model prompts and inferences are stateless and are never used to train generalized foundation models.
5. App Uninstallation & Data Deletion
When you uninstall CatalogVision AI, our servers immediately receive Shopify's mandatory app/uninstalled webhook. Your access tokens and active session records are permanently deleted within 48 hours. Any metafields previously written to your products remain permanently live in your Shopify store.
